How to Prepare the Installation Site for the DMD System?

To ensure stable and efficient operation of the DMD system, it is essential to choose the right installation site. Below are the key requirements.

Installation Area
  • Minimum space: 2.58 m (length) × 1.5 m (width) × 2.5 m (height).

  • Surface: flat, solid, vibration-free, and non-metallic.

  • Metal objects: must be at least 2 m away from the DMD; for large metal structures — up to 4 m.

  • Electrical equipment: keep a distance of 0.5–4 m from potential interference sources (monitors, transformers, motors, power cables, etc.).

  • Stability: the system must not sway or require frequent recalibration due to wind or vibration.

  • No foreign objects inside the inspection zone.

 Installation site requirements

Operator’s Workstation
  • A power socket and an Ethernet port must be available near the operator’s desk.

  • The connection between the operator’s PC and the DMD system should be established via Ethernet cable, either directly or through a local network (minimum speed: 100 Mbit/s).

Remote Access

Remote access is required for technical support and system monitoring via a secure, encrypted Internet channel.

If an Internet connection is not possible, the setup must be coordinated with the APSTEC Technical Support Team.

GDPR Compliance

All data is processed locally on the device — no cloud processing is required for DMD operation.

Notes
Each installation site must be approved by the APSTEC Technical Support Team. Do not move the system without their consent — this may lead to reduced performance.
