HSS.2A STATUS CHANGE AND OPERATOR ACTIONS
The HSS does not make decisions. It alerts the operator to possible threats. All further actions must follow the organization's internal security procedures.
Message | Status description | Operator’s Action |
Connected | Green. System is operating normally | No action required. |
Disconnected | Grey. Connection error №1 | Restart the HSS Alarm Monitor Client. Check the connection between the operator’s computer and the HSS system. If the issue persists, fully restart the HSS by turning the power switch OFF, then ON again. |
Unreachable | Yellow. Connection error №2 | Restart the Alarm Monitor Client. Check all cables and network connections. If the problem remains, perform a full restart of the HSS system. |
Unconfigured | Yellow. System maintenance | Wait for the maintenance process to be completed (typically 10–60 minutes). Then restart the Alarm Monitor Client. If the maintenance message still appears, contact Apstec Technical Support. |
System stopped | Yellow. Main process is not running | Launch the server process via the Service interface. If it fails to start, contact Apstec Technical Support. |
LED indicator status and restart instructions
Under normal conditions, all LED indicators must remain green.
If any LED turns yellow, follow these steps:
- Wait for 1 minute. If the system does not return to green (operational) status, perform a system reboot using the power button.
- If the issue persists after reboot, repeat the restart process once more.
- If the system still fails to return to green status, immediately contact Apstec technical support.
After switching off the HSS, wait at least 5 seconds before powering it on again.
If, after three standard power-off and power-on attempts, the system fails to start correctly, contact Apstec technical support without delay.
Additional requirements
- Operators or designated staff must regularly perform visual inspections of the HSS system to ensure it remains stable and functional.
- Any irregularities must be documented and reported immediately in accordance with organizational procedures.
