Are the uprights shown in the image required?
There are two possible ways to route the cables between the pillars:

Through the cable channel located above the system, as shown in the datasheet;

Under the floor.
The central pillar is important for enhancing the detection of ferrous objects such as handguns or knives. However, it can be omitted if the system is intended only for the detection of improvised explosive devices (IEDs).
