How to Operate the DMD System?

How to Operate the DMD System?

1. System initialization and Operating Modes

The user can perform several actions to operate the DMD system:

  • Power On — Turns on the system from a powered-off state. After switching on, the system automatically enters the Initialization phase.
  • Initialization — The system powers up, checks all sensors, and prepares for operation. Once this process is complete, it switches to Normal Operation.

  • Normal Operation — The system functions under standard conditions after successful initialization and calibration.

  • Recalibration — Triggered when significant changes in the environment affect detection accuracy (for example, strong vibrations or background interference). The system automatically adjusts itself and then returns to normal operation.

  • Setup — Allows the operator to change system settings. After configuration, the system can return to Initialization or Normal Operation.

  • Reboot — Restarts the system manually or automatically after an error or power interruption.

  • Power Off — Completely shuts down the system.

2. LED Indicators

Each system state is shown by LED color:

  • Blue: Initialization

  • Green: Normal Operation

  • Yellow: Recalibration

Notes
If an Alarm is triggered, LEDs at the height of the detected threat will turn Red.

3. Inspection Process

When a person enters the inspection zone, the system automatically begins scanning. It analyzes data and determines if any dangerous items are present.
If a potential threat is detected, the system alerts the operator with sound signals, LED lights, and/or messages on the display.
Even if only one type of signal appears, it should be treated as an alarm notification.

The DMD system can be connected to the Mobile Alarm Monitor Client, allowing operators to view alarms and system status on PCs or tablets.

4. Preparing for Operation

Before switching on the DMD system:

  1. Check the device’s exterior for any visible damage.

  2. Inspect the inspection zone to ensure there are no large static or moving metal objects.

  3. Prepare the operator’s PC or tablet for use.

5. Switching On the System
  1. Ensure the DMD system is connected to the correct AC power source.

  2. Turn the Power Key to the ON position (located under the protective hatch on the arch).

Notes
Wait for the DMD system to finish initialization and switch to normal operation before use.

Notes
It is recommended to restart the system at least once a week during continuous operation.

6. Running the DMD Client Software

The DMD system can connect to one or more operator PCs or mobile devices.
The client software displays alarms and system data in real time, allowing the operator to monitor the DMD’s status and respond promptly.
